Black Fiction

I love learning about the experiences of others by reading fiction. I look to Black authors to help me see the world through characters whose life experiences include marginalization. I have so much to learn, and the perspectives we can see by reading fiction are legitimate. Comment below to let me know which titles I should add to this list.

Beloved
by Toni Morrison

The Book of Negroes
by Lawrence Hill

The Color Purple
by Alice Walker

Their Eyes Were Watching God
by Zora Neale Hurston

The Vanishing Half
by Brit Bennett
